Nutanix has announced collaborations with Nvidia, Supermicro and Netris to simplify the infrastructure needed for production AI, as capacity constraints and operational complexity slow enterprise deployments.

Nvidia: Nutanix plans to work toward “Day Zero” support for Nvidia’s Vera CPUs, starting with Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) on bare metal and expanding to virtualised environments. It will pair Vera with Nvidia OpenShell to create private runtime environments for AI agents.

Supermicro: The companies plan a jointly engineered system for private inference, combining Supermicro servers with eight Blackwell Ultra GPUs each, Nutanix Agentic AI software and Nvidia Spectrum-X Ethernet networking. It is aimed at letting companies run open-weight models on their own infrastructure while controlling cost per token. Nutanix would supply the AI cloud control plane and storage, and Supermicro will sell the system from early 2027.

Netris: Nutanix is linking its Nutanix Cloud Platform to Netris’s network automation platform to provide multitenancy across the physical network for AI cloud providers and neoclouds. The integration is expected as a tech preview in early 2027.

“AI agents need fast CPUs to execute code, use tools and process data between model calls,” said Hannah Coutand, Director of Product Marketing for Vera CPU, Nvidia.
