Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched the TCS Autonomous Engineering Lab Powered by NVIDIA at its Global Axis campus in Bengaluru, marking the establishment of a dedicated physical AI facility aimed at accelerating the development and deployment of AI-driven industrial and mobility solutions.

The lab will serve as a hub for enterprises to design, test and validate AI-powered applications before deploying them in real-world environments. Built on NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure, the facility is designed to help businesses move from pilot projects to production-scale implementation across industries such as automotive, manufacturing and industrial engineering.

According to TCS, the lab combines the company’s Industrial Autonomy & Engineering (IA&E) expertise with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing and AI technologies to enable rapid prototyping, digital simulation and deployment of intelligent industrial systems.

Sreenivasa Chakravarti, Global Head and Vice President, Industrial Autonomy and Engineering, TCS, said the new facility reinforces Bengaluru’s position as a technology innovation hub.

“Bengaluru has long been the engine of India’s economy, and this lab harnesses that energy to reimagine what’s possible with AI. By combining NVIDIA’s powerful AI platform with TCS’ Industrial Autonomy & Engineering capabilities, we are creating a space where ideas move rapidly from concept to real-world impact, shaping the future of mobility and industrial systems,” he said.

The lab will support enterprises in embedding AI across engineering and manufacturing operations, enabling software-defined products, intelligent factories and autonomous industrial systems. It will also provide a controlled environment for testing and validating AI solutions before commercial deployment, helping organisations reduce implementation risks and accelerate time-to-market.

Alvin DaCosta, Vice President, AI Consulting Partners Organization, NVIDIA, said enterprises increasingly require specialised AI infrastructure to bridge the gap between simulation and real-world implementation.

“Through this collaboration, the TCS Industrial Autonomy & Engineering Lab leverages the full-stack NVIDIA AI platform to offer customers a scalable pathway for validating and implementing their next-generation industrial solutions,” he said.

The facility showcases a range of AI-powered solutions, including TCS DriveSphere, a connected mobility platform for software-defined vehicles, AI-enabled autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), physical AI applications for predictive maintenance and quality inspection, agentic AI and Vision AI solutions, as well as digital twin and simulation environments for vehicles, factories and industrial operations.

TCS said the initiative builds on its long-standing collaboration with NVIDIA across artificial intelligence, accelerated computing and industry-specific digital solutions. Beyond technology integration, the new lab is expected to strengthen joint capability development, customer engagement and the creation of next-generation industrial AI solutions.
