Dubverse has been developing artificial intelligence-based speech and audio solutions, including multilingual voice generation tools designed for enterprise use. The acqui-hire is expected to help Exotel improve its ability to deliver more interactive and efficient customer experience solutions.

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Bengaluru, Exotel provides cloud telephony and communication services to businesses. In recent years, it has been expanding its focus on AI-driven customer engagement tools as demand for automation and intelligent communication systems grows.

The company is backed by investors such as A91 Partners, Blume Ventures, and CX Partners. Its platform combines voice AI, contact centre as a service (CCaaS), and communications platform as a service (CPaaS) into a unified system tailored for multilingual and compliance-heavy markets like India.

Exotel claims to serve over 7,000 enterprises and handles more than 20 billion interactions annually across sectors including financial services, healthcare, commerce, and public services. Its technology supports communication across voice, messaging, and digital channels.

With this acqui-hire, Exotel is looking to further embed artificial intelligence into its offerings, enabling businesses to move beyond basic customer support systems toward more automated and responsive engagement models.
