Avik Chatterjee Takes Charge as CEO of Speciality Restaurants
Speciality Restaurants appoints Avik Chatterjee as CEO to lead brand expansion, new restaurant formats and operational growth across India and international markets.

Speciality Restaurants Limited has elevated Avik Chatterjee as the Chief Executive Officer of the company. He steps into the role after serving as Executive Director – Innovation & New Formats at Speciality Restaurants, where he was responsible for developing new restaurant concepts and formats across the group.
As Director & CEO, Chatterjee will now oversee Speciality Restaurants’ broader portfolio, which includes Mainland China, Oh! Calcutta, Asia Kitchen by Mainland China, Sigree, Hoppipola, Episode One, Sweet Bengal, Gong, Walters Burger (QSR) and other formats across India and international markets.
His priorities include strengthening the company’s existing brands, expanding into new markets and building new restaurant concepts suited to changing customer preferences, alongside a continued focus on operational efficiency.
Upon his appointment, Avik Chatterjee, Director & CEO, Speciality Restaurants Limited, said, “Speciality Restaurants has spent three decades building brands that customers consistently return to and my role as CEO is to strengthen that foundation rather than reinvent it. We will continue to reinforce our core brands while placing greater emphasis on newer formats, including cloud kitchens, smaller footprints, and concepts aligned with evolving consumer dining habits.”
He added, “Over the next three quarters, company aim to significantly expand their presence in Mumbai, supported by a cloud kitchen to enhance our delivery footprint. Will focus on improving operational efficiency, leveraging technology more effectively and elevating the overall customer experience.”
