AMD and DU Collaborate to Build Next-Gen AI Talent Pool
AMD partners with Delhi University to train 10,000 students in AI using its ROCm platform and GPU cloud credits.

AMD and the University of Delhi (DU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to equip students and faculty with industry-relevant AI skills. Under the agreement, AMD will bring its AI Engage Developer Program to the university, providing access to its open-source ROCm AI software platform, learning resources and developer GPU cloud credits. The initiative aims to train up to 10,000 students over the next year.
Students and faculty will get access to AMD’s AI learning curriculum, technical workshops and cloud-based GPU resources for hands-on experimentation. The university will integrate these resources into student learning to build practical exposure to AI technologies.
“India has the talent and the ambition to lead the next wave of AI innovation. Through our collaboration with the University of Delhi, we are helping students move from learning AI concepts to building AI solutions,” said Jaya Jagadish, Country Head & SVP Engineering, AMD India.
The collaboration builds on AMD’s ongoing investments in India’s technology ecosystem through academia and developer enablement.
