QNu Labs, a deep-tech cybersecurity company building quantum-safe solutions, has raised Rs 200 crore in a Series A1 round led by the National Quantum Mission and Speciale Invest, with participation from Sony Innovation Fund, Gaja Capital and Artha Ventures. The round takes QNu Labs’ total funding to INR 375 crore.

The capital will accelerate R&D and scale the company’s sales and go-to-market efforts across India and global markets. Part of the funding will support QNu’s contribution to an RDI-approved project to build the technology backbone of India’s Quantum Secure and Sensing Networks, and to expand into quantum sensing and AI. Around 80 per cent of the round came from new global investors.

“India has moved early on in the quantum era. QNu Labs has spent over a decade building this stack and has already deployed across government, critical infrastructure and BFSI,” said Sunil Gupta, Co-founder, QNu Labs.

“QNu Labs has spent a decade building a full stack in India, and is already deployed in the environments where trust matters most. The science is done and the demand curve is turning — this is now a scaling problem,” said Gopal Jain, Co-founder and Managing Partner, Gaja Capital.

Incubated in 2016 at IIT Madras and founded by Srinivasa Rao Aluri and Sunil Gupta, QNu Labs has a team of 160 engineers, physicists and mathematicians working on quantum cryptography and communication.
