Infosys names Ashiss Kumar Dash as CEO Designate, succeeding Salil Parekh to lead the IT major’s next phase of AI-led transformation.

Infosys has appointed Ashiss Kumar Dash as its CEO Designate, following the recommendation of the Board’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The appointment is for a five-year term, subject to shareholder approval.
He will take over from Salil Parekh, whose nine‑year tenure saw Infosys’ revenue growing from USD 10 billion to over USD 20 billion.
Dash’s internal origin reflects confidence in the company’s direction and in his ability to balance AI‑led transformation with preserving Infosys’ culture and client trust.
A company veteran with more than three decades at Infosys, Dash currently heads a global business portfolio spanning multiple industry verticals and also leads the company’s sustainability business.
During his tenure at Infosys, he has held leadership roles across customer-facing businesses, delivery, and global operations in multiple geographies. According to the board, his experience positions him to lead Infosys through its next phase of AI-led transformation.

Nilekani also thanked Salil Parekh for his leadership over the past nine years, noting that he strengthened the company’s market position, expanded its capabilities, led its digital transformation, and laid the foundation for its AI strategy. Parekh will continue to lead Infosys until March 31, 2027, and work closely with Dash to ensure a smooth transition.
