With this acquisition, Bajaj Electricals will gain full ownership and control of the Morphy Richards brand in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
The move is expected to allow the company to independently manage the brand’s growth, product development, and market strategy across these regions.
Morphy Richards, established in 1936 in the UK, is known for its premium and design-focused home appliances and personal care products. Bajaj Electricals has been marketing and distributing the brand in India since 2002, helping it build a strong presence in several product categories. According to the company, the acquisition aligns with its multi-brand strategy and is expected to support further investments in innovation, product design, and market expansion. Full ownership of the brand is also likely to provide greater flexibility in decision-making and strengthen its position in the competitive consumer appliances market.
