The program, supported by MeitY Startup Hub, aims to harness artificial intelligence (AI) to tackle global challenges across sectors like healthcare, climate change, agriculture, education, financial inclusion, and infrastructure.

Presently, around half of all compensation is funded from international sources such as Just Energy Transition Partnerships, which are multi-lateral structures for accelerating the phase-out of fossil fuels.

The Global Sustainability Barometer study was conducted among 1,523 technology and sustainability business leaders across 16 countries in Asia, EMEA, and the Americas.

According to the survey, about 31 per cent of the respondent companies have disclosed their net-zero targets while 49 per cent companies have increased their energy consumption from renewable sources.
