Verlinvest and the family of late Epigamia founder Rohan Mirchandani have increased their stakes in dairy and food brand Epigamia through secondary share purchases from existing investors.

Sauce, founded by Manu Chandra, has also acquired a stake in the company as part of the transaction.

Verlinvest has been Epigamia’s largest stakeholder and has invested in the company since 2016 through multiple funding rounds. The latest transaction further consolidates its ownership alongside the Mirchandani family and Sauce.

The deal comes as Epigamia expands its portfolio of dairy and better-for-you food products in India.

Ritesh Gauba, CEO of Epigamia, said the transaction provides the company with a stable shareholder base to support its next phase of growth.

Arjun Anand, Managing Director and Head of Asia at Verlinvest, said, “The purchase increasing our stake in Epigamia reflects our continued conviction in the brand, its leadership, and the significant opportunity we see in India’s evolving food and beverage landscape.”

The Mirchandani family said it will continue to support the business and the vision of its late founder.

Sauce’s investment brings Manu Chandra, who knew Mirchandani and was involved with Epigamia during its early years, into the company’s shareholder base.
