Teachers’ Venture Growth Makes Follow-On Investment in Darwinbox
Teachers’ Venture Growth makes second investment in Darwinbox as the HCM platform scales its AI-native Cortex suite.

Teachers’ Venture Growth (TVG), the late-stage venture and growth investment platform of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, has made a follow-on investment in Darwinbox, a human capital management (HCM) platform. This is TVG’s second investment in the company, following its initial round in 2025. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2015, Darwinbox serves more than 1,400 companies and 4.5 million employees globally, having grown at a 70% CAGR over the past five years across markets including the US, Middle East, India and Southeast Asia.
In August, the company launched Darwinbox Cortex, an AI-native HCM platform that debuted with pilot customers Visteon and Transcarent. Rather than layering AI onto its existing architecture, Cortex integrates intelligence and execution into the platform’s core, and is being built with technology partners including Microsoft, Slack and Glean to extend AI into workflows employees already use.
“Enterprise software is undergoing a generational shift towards AI-native platforms. With Cortex, we moved early and are leading that shift in HCM, with several industry-first innovations including the first Context Graph in the category,” said Jayant Paleti, Co-CEO, Darwinbox.
