Immuneel Therapeutics, founded and backed by Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, on Monday announced closing its series B funding round with over INR 100 crore raise.

The series B round saw participation from few investors such as Singularity AMC and  Rainmatter by Zerodha, and several High-Net-Worth Individuals. Existing investors such as Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Eight Roads Ventures, and F-Prime Capital also joined the round.

Founded in 2019, the Bengaluru-based integrated cell and gene therapy platform focuses on making cell and gene therapies accessible and affordable globally. The startup has commercially launched Qartemi, which is touted as India’s first approved CAR-T therapy. It is now also advancing a next-generation pipeline through homegrown scientific excellence, GMP-grade manufacturing, and strategic global co-development partnerships.

Before this round, Immuneel Therapeutics had raised USD 15 million (INR 116 crore approximately) in a series A funding round co-led by Eight Roads Ventures, True North and F-Prime Capital along with participation from existing investors.

The company says the latest funding will deployed towards scaling Immuneel’s GMP manufacturing capacity, advancing its next-generation deep-tech cell and gene therapy pipeline toward clinical milestones, supporting the commercialisation of Qartemi, and accelerating international market entry across Asia Pacific and Middle East.

It further said that following the successful commercial launch of Qartemi, approved CAR-T therapy for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, Immuneel Therapeutics is now extending its reach into high-growth emerging markets and progressing clinical co-development partnerships in Australia and Southeast Asia.

“This company was founded with the belief that advanced cell therapies should not remain confined to a small segment of patients or a handful of geographies. This fundraise strengthens our ability to build a globally competitive CAR-T platform from India combining deep science, scalable manufacturing and significantly improved affordability. We believe India can play a meaningful role in shaping the future of cell and gene therapy for the world,” Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Founder of Immuneel Therapeutics said in a statement.

Amit Mookim, Chief Executive Officer of Immuneel Therapeutics added: “Qartemi’s commercialisation proved we can deliver world-class CAR-T outcomes at a fraction of Western costs. This Series B financing accelerates what comes next: a bold international expansion and a next-generation pipeline that will redefine how cell therapies reach patients globally. We are not just building a company—we are building a new global standard of care, from India.”
