Info Edge Acquires Coding Ninjas, Eyes Synergy With Naukri

Info Edge has acquired full stake in edtech platform Coding Ninjas following an investment of INR 39.91 crore. 

In 2022, Info Edge had acquired nearly 51% in the edtech platform for INR 135 crore. 

Coding Ninjas was founded in 2016 by Ankush Singla, Kannu Mittal, and Dhawal Parate. The edtech platform sells coding bootcamp and tech related courses. The company focuses on college students and working professionals to provide skills like data science, generative AI, and full stack development among others. 

“This [acquisition] will help the company: (i) maximize business synergies between the two platforms – Naukri and Coding Ninjas, unlocking growth and profitability improvements for

Coding Ninjas platform, and (ii) enable Naukri build mini AI course offerings to add value to its users. For the purpose of the same, the founders of CodingNinjas will be employed by the Company and will receive certain salary and performance incentive in relation to the aforesaid businesses,” said Info Edge in a filing with the exchange. 

In FY25, Coding Ninjas reported a 26.4% year-on-year growth in its operating revenue while managing to reduce losses by 41%. The edtech platform reported operating revenue at INR 67 crore in the said fiscal while losses reduced to INR 30 crore. 

Separately, Info Edge, which operates platforms like Naukri, 99acres, Jeevansathi, and Shiksha, reported INR 737 crore revenue in Q1 FY27, up from Rs 644.2 crore in the same quarter last fiscal year. Nearly 75% of revenue came from job search platform Naukri.
