Health QSR Startup Acai Theory Secures INR 4 Cr Funding

Acai Theory, a health-focused quick service restaurant (QSR) brand, has raised INR 4 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by All In Capital, with participation from TDV Partners and several angel investors. These include former Zomato Food Delivery COO Rinshul Chandra, Harpreet Grover, Anurag Prasad, and Fragaria CEO Harish Varadarajan, among others.

The funds will be used to support expansion, strengthen its team, and enhance brand visibility. It also plans to invest in supply chain capabilities and research and development.

Founded in 2025 by Rishav Ranjan and Akash Kyal, the Bengaluru-based startup focuses on a health-first QSR model built around açaí, a nutrient-rich superfood originating from Brazil. Its menu includes a range of açaí bowls, smoothies, and superfood-based snacks aimed at combining taste with nutrition.

Acai Theory operates on an assembly-only format without live cooking, which it says helps maintain speed and consistency across orders. The company currently runs its flagship outlet in Bengaluru and claims to have served over 10,000 bowls in the six months since its launch in October 2025.

Looking ahead, the startup plans to expand to 8–10 outlets across the city and set up a central kitchen to standardise quality. It also aims to deploy AI-led tools and digitised processes to improve operational efficiency.

Acai Theory operates in a growing segment and may compete with brands such as Lyfberry, Acai By The Bay, and Temple of the Senses.

Medical tourism discovery platform CureMeAbroad has raised USD 600,000 in a pre-seed funding round backed by investors including Roman Saini, Himanshu Ratnoo, Kunal Gupta, Devaiah Bopanna, and Vikrant Potnis.

Currently, the platform lists over 6,000 hospitals across 47 countries and 45 specialties. It also works with more than 380 accredited partner hospitals in key medical tourism destinations such as Mexico, Turkey, Thailand, India, and Georgia.

The startup plans to expand across target markets including the GCC, the UK, and Africa. It aims to address challenges in the sector such as lack of trust, unclear pricing, reliance on intermediaries, and limited aftercare support.

CureMeAbroad operates in a competitive space alongside platforms like Bookimed, PlacidWay, and Medical Departures.
