In his new role, he will support AWE Funds in refining its deep tech strategy, improving technical diligence processes, and helping scale high-impact innovations globally.
Prior to this, Taub held senior positions at GE Ventures, where he contributed to building and expanding its corporate venture investing efforts across sectors such as energy, robotics, advanced manufacturing, and industrial technologies. He later joined In-Q-Tel (IQT), the strategic investment arm that backs emerging technologies for national security applications.

“AWE Funds is building a disciplined, forward-looking deep tech platform at a critical moment in global industrial transformation. I’m excited to partner with the team to strengthen technical diligence and support founders developing scalable, globally relevant technologies,” Taub said.
In his new position, Taub will work closely with the firm’s leadership and portfolio companies to sharpen investment theses, mentor founders, and strengthen evaluation frameworks for emerging technologies.
AWE Funds said the appointment underscores its focus on backing technology-driven ventures that can deliver both financial returns and social impact. The India-focused fund invests in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, applied AI, robotics, and services, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and governance.
The firm has made four investments from its current platform and a total of 86 investments overall, and plans to invest in 13 to 16 more companies through the current fund.
