5 Key Concerns Addressed by Dr.Anish Shah in Mahindra’s AGM 

Mahindra Finance outlines AI-led growth, financial inclusion, stronger risk management and leadership focus at its FY26 AGM.

Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services Limited held its FY26 Annual General Meeting, highlighting India’s economic resilience, the rapidly evolving financial services sector, responsible adoption of technology, and the company’s disciplined approach towards long-term growth. Mahindra also outlined its focus on strengthening risk management, leadership development, and financial inclusion while leveraging AI and data analytics to enhance customer experience and business performance.  

  1. India – The Fastest Growing Major Economies

Mahindra believes that despite geopolitical uncertainties, shifting trade dynamics and continued volatility across international markets, India remains one of the fastest growing major economies in the world. India continues to demonstrate remarkable resilience amidst an evolving global landscape. But to continue creating long-term growth opportunities it requires infrastructure, digital adoption and demand. 

  1. Financial Services Evolved

Dr. Anish addressed the rise in the financial services sector. He mentioned Industry’s rigorous regulatory expectations, enhanced customer experience with use of tech, and risk management becoming central to sustainable growth. 

  1.  AI is helping improve decision-making

Since project Udaan AI has become an important part of Mahindra finance’s operations. Mahindra uses data-analytics and AI to improve business decisions, to identify risks at an earlier stage, to increase productivity and to provide enhanced customer experience. Anish said that Mahindra is committed to adopting digital capabilities responsibly. 

  1. Leadership capabilities across the organisation

Anish mentioned that though this financial year Mahindra achieved a milestone with an increase in asset quality with GS3 at 3.4%, they equally invested in people. Focused on developing leadership capabilities across the organisation, nurturing frontline talent, and building a culture anchored in accountability, customer centricity, and continuous learning. He mentioned that they  believe this investment in their people and culture will be a competitive advantage.

  1. Purpose beyond financial performance

Dr. Anish also took a moment to reflect on purpose; he mentioned that Mahindra’s purpose extends beyond financial performance. For decades the company has been working to expand economic participation by expanding services across rural and semi urban India. While focusing on responsible conduct, sustainability, community development and long-term value creation. 

He says. “Our purpose extends well beyond financial performance. We firmly believe that long- term value creation is inseparable from responsible conduct, sustainability and community development”
