Shares of National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) listed at INR 1,800 on the BSE on September 24, rising to a high of INR 1,845 during the session. According to BSE data, 116.53 lakh shares were traded, taking the company’s market capitalisation to INR 4,55,400 crore at the day’s closing price.

NSE’s IPO, which raised nearly INR 22,561.6 crore, was open for subscription from September 17 to September 21, 2026, and was subscribed 5.71 times overall. The book-building issue received bids for 50,58,11,384 shares against 8,86,42,911 shares on offer. The Qualified Institutional Buyers portion was subscribed 12.68 times, Non-Institutional Investors 6.55 times, and Retail Individual Investors 1.39 times.

NSE, incorporated in 1992, is the largest stock exchange in India by total turnover in cash market and equity derivatives from Fiscal 2001 to Fiscal 2026, according to the Redseer Report. Per the World Federation of Exchanges, the company held an 11.38% global market share in number of trades in cash equities and 51.18% in contracts traded in equity derivatives in Fiscal 2026, ranking as the largest multi-asset class exchange globally on these metrics.
