Flam, an AI interactive content company, has raised a USD 40 million Series B round led by QED Investors, with participation from Claypond Capital, Australian Gulf Capital, SRK Family Office, and individual investors including Martin Chavez, Venky Harinarayan and Olivier Pomel. Existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail also followed on in the round.
The company said proceeds will go toward AI research and development, expanding its product suite, and scaling enterprise sales across its priority markets: the US, India, Japan, the UAE and Southeast Asia.
Flam builds AI interactive content that responds to viewers while streaming as fast as video, unlike fixed, linear video formats. Founded in 2021 as a research lab, the company launched its first product in 2024 and has since scaled to more than 100 enterprise customers over seven quarters.
Its product suite includes Flicks, an interactive video format; Airboards, which stream 3D content onto a phone’s camera interface without requiring an app download; and visual agents, AI-driven interactive characters that see, listen and respond to users.
The company is led by founder and CEO Shourya Agarwal, based in San Francisco, who has built Flam on a foundation of five in-house AI models and more than 15 patents.
