EXL, a global data and AI company, has acquired Aimpoint Digital, a data and AI consulting and platform engineering firm. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Aimpoint Digital builds enterprise data and AI platforms and works with technology partners including Anthropic, Databricks, and Snowflake. The deal adds about 250 AI engineers, platform architects, analytics consultants, decision scientists, and AI strategists to EXL’s data and AI teams, and deepens EXL’s existing relationships with those partners. EXL said demand for strategic data and AI engagements is outpacing available talent.

EXL said the two companies will offer clients a single partner across the full AI lifecycle, from strategy and architecture through engineering, production deployment, and managed operations. The company said this is designed to reduce handoffs and clarify accountability.

The acquisition follows EXL’s recent purchase of iMerit, which provides AI model training, evaluation, and reinforcement learning services.

“Aimpoint Digital’s forward-deployed strategists and engineers bring the hands-on expertise to turn AI strategy into production reality on the platforms our clients trust most,” said Rohit Kapoor, Chairman and CEO, EXL.

“Joining EXL lets us do more breakthrough work on a much larger scale,” said Ben Yopp, CEO and Co-founder, Aimpoint Digital.
