Deep-tech electric mobility startup E3 Electric.Ai has raised ₹100 crore in a Series A funding round, comprising a mix of equity and debt, led by BluVenture Holdings. The fresh capital will be used to accelerate product innovation and support the commercial launch of the company’s first product, E3 TRION, which it claims will be India’s first intelligent electric scooter.

The Bengaluru-based startup is betting on artificial intelligence to redefine electric mobility, positioning its software-driven platform as the next evolution of India’s electric two-wheeler market. Unlike conventional EVs that primarily focus on electrification, E3’s platform is designed to improve vehicle safety, predictive maintenance, charging efficiency and the overall ownership experience through AI.

The funding comes ahead of the commercial unveiling of the E3 TRION, scheduled in the coming weeks.

Commenting on the fundraise, P. Sanjeev, Founder and CEO, E3 Electric.Ai, said the company’s vision is to make electric vehicles more intelligent, reliable and affordable.

“At E3, we believe electric vehicles should predict, learn and continuously improve, making mobility safer, more reliable and affordable over time. Our modular platform enables multiple scooter variants from the same chassis, while our patented AI stack supports predictive maintenance and smart routing to address range anxiety. This investment enables us to accelerate our vision of making intelligent mobility accessible to millions of Indian families,” he said.

The startup’s vehicles are built on a modular architecture and incorporate AI-powered predictive diagnostics, connected vehicle technologies, battery intelligence and safety systems. The company says its scooters are designed around a human-centric approach, enabling the vehicle to proactively detect issues, recommend preventive action and enhance rider safety.

Shaun Dawson, LP at BluVenture Holdings, said India presents a significant opportunity for intelligent mobility solutions.

“India is at an inflection point in its EV transition. E3 has built an impressive technology platform combining modular engineering with software-led intelligence. The company is leveraging AI to deliver predictive maintenance while building a sustainable, scalable operating model. We believe E3 has the potential to become a category-defining company,” he said.

Founded in Bengaluru, E3 Electric.Ai has a research and development team of over 100 engineers with experience across automotive OEMs, EV startups and AI companies. The company has also filed more than 18 patents covering modular vehicle architecture, battery systems and AI-driven safety technologies.

Positioned as an alternative to India’s popular 110cc scooter segment, E3 aims to offer affordable, connected electric scooters with lower ownership costs while addressing key customer concerns around safety, servicing, charging and resale value.

Recognised among the NASSCOM Emerge 50 Awards 2025 winners, the company plans to leverage the new funding to scale manufacturing, strengthen its technology platform and expand its footprint as it prepares for the launch of E3 TRION.
