Dil Foods, a Bengaluru-based virtual restaurant enabler, has raised INR 72 crore in a Series B funding round led by the Bikaji Foods family office.
The round also saw participation from international funds and existing investors including V3 Ventures, MJV Ventures, and Alteria Capital.
With this latest investment, the company’s total funding now stands at INR 113 crore, including INR 37.7 crore raised in earlier Seed and Series A rounds.
The fresh capital will be used to diversify its cuisine portfolio, target a broader set of consumers, and expand into additional high-growth markets.
Founded in 2022 by Arpita Aditi, Dil Foods operates a virtual restaurant platform aimed at supporting small and mid-sized food businesses. It partners with local restaurants, enabling them to scale through technology, standardised operations, and an integrated supply chain. The company has onboarded more than 300 restaurant partners and currently operates across six cities.
Dil Foods runs multiple cuisine-led cloud brands focused on regional Indian food. Its supply chain model incorporates ready-to-cook formats, centralised sourcing, and standardised processes to maintain consistency and improve efficiency across locations.
The startup gained early attention after appearing on Shark Tank India, where it secured backing from investors Vineeta Singh, Radhika Gupta, Ritesh Agarwal, and Piyush Bansal. Since then, it has expanded its partner network, launched new brands, and introduced menu categories aligned with changing consumer preferences.
Today, the company claims to operate 10 regional food brands across six cities, covering around 340 pin codes. It is positioning itself as a large virtual brand network focused on regional cuisines in India.
“Dil Foods has always been built on the idea of creating a sustainable ecosystem in the food industry,” said Arpita Aditi, Founder of Dil Foods. “This funding will help us double down on that belief and capture a larger share of the consumer’s plate.”
She added, “With this capital, we aim to scale to 600 locations by FY28 and reach an annualised revenue of INR 500 crore, while strengthening our backend production and supply chain.”
