The Delhi Cabinet has approved a INR 50 crore corpus for the Go-Delhi Foundation to support startups, young innovators and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and announced on October 18, 2026.

The foundation will be established as a not-for-profit company under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, and operate under the Delhi government’s Department of Industries. It will follow a hub-and-spoke model, leveraging existing facilities and partner institutions.

According to the government, Delhi has nearly 21,000 startups recognised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). The foundation aims to connect startups with researchers, educational institutions, investors and industry partners.

It will provide access to product engineering and prototyping facilities, laboratories, testing services, technical guidance, mentorship and incubation support. It will also help students and researchers develop prototypes, protect intellectual property and commercialise research.

The foundation will also facilitate government pilot projects by connecting startups with departments seeking technology-based solutions to operational challenges. Successful solutions could be considered for wider adoption by the government.

The government has yet to announce eligibility criteria, application procedures, programme timelines or how the INR 50 crore corpus will be allocated. Details on partner institutions and the selection process for pilot projects are also awaited.
