Dabur India Limited announced the establishment and scaling of strategic Global Capability Centers (GCCs) to build a future-ready, digitally enabled and globally integrated enterprise.

GCCs in the Indian FMCG and retail/CPG sectors are rapidly shifting from basic support hubs to strategic command centers. These centers drive global innovation in data-driven marketing, optimize complex supply chains, and power enterprise-wide R&D and digital transformations tailored to diverse consumer markets.

Building on this strong digital core, Dabur is also establishing a Digital Marketing Global Capability Center. This center will leverage advanced marketing technologies, AI-driven intelligence and data-backed insights to deliver richer, more personalized and more meaningful consumer experiences.

These centers will enable Dabur to scale innovation, strengthen execution excellence and bring global best practices into its operations, ensuring that it remain competitive and future-ready in an increasingly dynamic business environment

“At Dabur, we are reimagining our future through a sharp focus on digital, data and global capability building. The creation of our GCCs is not just about technology transformation, it is about building a more agile, intelligent and consumer-centric organization,” said Mohit Malhotra, CEO, Dabur India Limited Global.

India already has the foundations for sustained GCC growth: a growing talent base, strong digital and engineering capabilities, and an enabling business environment that supports scale, innovation, and increasingly strategic work. India already hosts around 55 per cent of the world’s GCCs, growing at about a 10 per cent CAGR. In FY2024, India had more than 1,700 GCCs employing over 1.9 million professionals, and by 2030, the sector is projected to reach around 2,400 GCCs with nearly 2.5 million employees.

The IT GCC brings together enterprise technology, digital and data capabilities, business transformation, and strategic planning into one integrated engine. It strengthens cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure, enables smarter decisions through analytics and Generative AI, and accelerates enterprise-wide modernization. At the same time, it improves governance and execution discipline.

“Together, these Global Capability Centers represent a strategic shift in how Dabur is building for the future, combining technology, data and creativity to unlock new efficiencies, deepen consumer engagement and drive sustainable growth. As we continue to expand our presence across geographies, this shift marks a significant step towards creating a more agile, innovation-led and globally benchmarked organization,” he added.

India’s GCC growth roadmap is entering a scale-and-depth phase. The country already hosts over 1,700 GCCs employing nearly two million professionals, and this base is expected to expand significantly as enterprises deepen their India footprint, according to a report by flexiple.
