Cyient Enters Agreement to Buy TAO Digital Solutions

Cyient Limited has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire TAO Digital Solutions Inc., an AI-native data and product engineering firm headquartered in California. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close by the second quarter of FY27.
Founded in 2022, TAO Digital has expanded its presence across the US, Canada, India, Taiwan, and Europe. The company works with global enterprises across sectors such as automotive, high-tech, and healthtech, offering solutions in data engineering, AI-enabled platforms, digitisation, and cloud services.
The acquisition is aimed at strengthening Cyient’s capabilities in AI and data engineering as well as digital and product engineering. TAO Digital’s expertise includes enabling enterprise AI adoption through data modernisation, generative AI deployment, and lifecycle operations, alongside building cloud-native platforms and modern applications.
Sukamal Banerjee, Executive Director and CEO of Cyient, said, “This acquisition marks a transformative moment for Cyient, enabling us to deliver AI-native engineering at a global scale. It brings together our engineering heritage with advanced data and lifecycle engineering capabilities.”
He added that the deal would expand Cyient’s presence in key sectors and increase its footprint in North America while enhancing its delivery capabilities across regions.
