AscentHR Acquires OS HRS to Expand India, APAC Presence

HR-tech firm AscentHR on Monday announced the acquisition of OS HRS, a Malaysia-based APAC-focused payroll outsourcing provider. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The acquisition was completed through a single-stage transaction under which AscentHR acquired 100% of the equity share capital of OS HRS Malaysia, OS HRS Japan, and OS HRS India from BREXA Inc. (formerly Outsourcing Inc.), Tokyo, Japan. The transaction was completed in June 2026. 

AscentHR says the acquisition marks a significant step for its growth strategy across the India–Asia Pacific region as it helps expand payroll delivery capabilities, compliance expertise, and regional presence across key markets including China, Japan, India, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore, and several other countries across APAC and the Middle East.

With OS HRS joining the AscentHR ecosystem, the combined organization will deliver payroll services across countries, providing multinational and regional enterprises with a stronger platform for managing payroll, compliance, and workforce operations across diverse regulatory environments, according to a press note.

The move also brings together AscentHR’s technology, managed services, and HR solutions with OS HRS’ deep regional payroll expertise, established customer relationships, and in-country delivery capabilities.

AscentHR hopes the acquisition will help nearly double its revenue as well as expand regional customer base, delivery capabilities, and presence across key APAC markets.
