Adani Arm Gets Nod for INR 1.04 Lakh Cr Odisha Data Centre
Adani’s High Density Data Centre gets Odisha nod for a INR 1.04 lakh crore, 1 GW data centre park.

Adani Group is set to deepen its presence in India’s data center industry after High Density Data Centre Ltd, a subsidiary of Adani Infra (India) Ltd, received approval from the Odisha government for a INR 1.04 lakh crore (USD 1.18 billion approx.) integrated data center park. The project, cleared by the High-Level Clearance Authority chaired by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, involves a 1-gigawatt facility, with about 250 acres earmarked at Naraj near Cuttack for the development. The project is expected to generate around 1,000 jobs.
The Odisha proposal was among 27 projects worth around INR 2.47 trillion cleared by the state government and is a standalone venture separate from a INR 50,000 crore hyperscale AI data center agreement signed earlier this month between Adani Group and Abu Dhabi-based International Holding Company for Odisha.
The Odisha government also approved three other data center and AI-related projects worth a combined INR 38,391 crore, taking total investment across the four projects to about INR 1.42 lakh crore. These include a INR 14,257 crore AI-optimized data center in Khordha by HCLTech in partnership with Sarvam AI, a INR 22,634 crore sovereign AI campus and GCC in Puri by Sentraforge AI, a joint venture between Megha Engineering and Infrastructures and GVPR Engineers, and a INR 1,500 crore data center in Cuttack district by RKD Construction.
Adani’s data center business, AdaniConneX, currently operates a facility in Chennai and is developing projects in Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad. The Odisha project is slightly below Reliance Industries proposed INR 1.08 lakh crore AI data centre and cable landing station in Andhra Pradesh.
