Check Point appoints cybersecurity veteran Krishnan V V as Managing Director for India and South Asia.

Check Point Software Technologies has appointed Krishnan V V as Managing Director and Country Head for India and South Asia. Krishnan brings more than three decades of industry leadership experience and will report to Ruma Balasubramanian, President, APAC and Japan.
In his new role, Krishnan will oversee Check Point’s business strategy, P&L performance, go-to-market execution and organisational development across India and South Asia, with priorities including deepening customer engagement, strengthening government relationships, and expanding the partner ecosystem. His mandate spans Check Point’s four strategic pillars: Hybrid Mesh Network Security, Workspace Security, Exposure Management and AI Security, with a focus on helping customers secure AI systems and applications.
Prior to joining Check Point, Krishnan served as Country Director – BFSI at Palo Alto Networks, and has held senior roles at Seclore, Symantec, Oracle, Sun Microsystems and Wipro. India hosts Check Point’s largest R&D centre outside Israel.
