Bengaluru-based health and wellness platform Healthify and US-based nutrition care company Berry Street have merged to create an AI-powered metabolic health platform focused on insurance-covered care in the US.
The combined company will be led by Healthify founder Tushar Vashisht and Berry Street founder Noah Kotlove as Co-CEOs. In the US, it will operate under the Berry Street brand, while Healthify will continue its operations in India and other international markets.
Healthify has served more than 45 million users across over 20 cultures. Its AI platform, Ria, provides nutrition, weight and wellness guidance and supports multimodal and multilingual food tracking.
Berry Street provides nutrition and metabolic care through a network of more than 2,000 clinicians. It has served over 200,000 patients across all 50 US states and offers care for conditions including weight management, diabetes, women’s health and heart health.
The company also provides GLP-1 management, including prescriptions when appropriate, with much of its care covered by insurance.
The merger combines Healthify’s AI-based nutrition platform with Berry Street’s clinical network and insurance infrastructure. The companies said the combined platform will provide AI-powered guidance between consultations while clinicians continue to manage patient care.
“Berry Street gives us the clinical backbone and the coverage infrastructure to deliver that promise to the U.S. market at a scale no one has achieved before,” said Tushar Vashisht, Founder and CEO of Healthify.
Berry Street is part of the CMS ACCESS model and has partnerships with companies including Amazon and Walmart.
