Men’s and kids’ ethnic wear brand Kisah has begun its Series A funding round, raising INR 35.9 crore (about USD 3.8 million), led by Fireside Ventures. The investment marks a key step in the company’s growth as it looks to expand its presence and operations.

According to regulatory filings, the company’s board approved the issuance of 38,220 Series A preference shares at a price of INR 9,393 each to secure the funding.

Fireside Ventures has contributed INR 34 crore in the round, with the remaining amount expected to come from individual investors in the near future.

Founded in 2018 by Yash Sarawagi and Yashwi Ladasaria, Kisah focuses on offering affordable ethnic wear targeted at Gen Z and millennial consumers. Based in Kolkata, the brand initially operated through online marketplaces and is now transitioning towards an omnichannel model to reach a wider customer base.

Estimates suggest that Kisah’s valuation will rise to around INR 211 crore after this funding round. This reflects a significant increase from its earlier funding stage, when it raised INR 13 crore (around USD 1.5 million) from a group of investors, including entrepreneur Sagar Daryani and Inflection Point Ventures.

The company has also reported steady financial growth. Its revenue rose by 65% year-on-year to INR 41.8 crore in FY25, compared to INR 25.3 crore in FY24. Profits more than doubled during the same period, reaching INR 2 crore.
