SportVot, a sports-tech startup focused on streaming and grassroots talent discovery, has raised INR 32.7 crore in a funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund.

The round also saw participation from Anicut Capital, Let’s Venture, Capital A, Succeed Innovation, Garima Vohra, and Gaurav Chanana, among others.

The Mumbai-based company had earlier raised INR 9.4 crore in a pre-Series A round led by Omidyar Network India in February 2024.

The latest funding will be used to support its international expansion and strengthen its AI-led production and distribution capabilities.

Founded in 2019 by Sidhhant Agarwal, Shubhangi Gupta, and Yash Bhagwatkar, SportVot offers a digital platform that enables live streaming of sports events while helping identify emerging talent at the grassroots level. The company uses cloud-based technology to deliver cost-effective broadcasting solutions for local leagues and sports organisations.

SportVot said it has streamed more than 500,000 matches across over 30 countries, reaching an audience of more than 100 million viewers. It has also seen growing traction in regions such as North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.

The platform generates revenue through production and streaming services for organisers, as well as through subscriptions, pay-per-view content, and brand partnerships.

The company aims to address the gap in sports coverage, noting that a large share of sporting events globally remain unstreamed due to high costs and limited access to technology.
