Cent, a preventive health intelligence company, has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round comprising equity and debt, co-led by Blume Ventures and existing investor South Park Commons.
The round also saw participation from individual investors, including Arun Sarin, former CEO of Vodafone, Srinivas Narayanan, former B2B CTO at OpenAI, Sharath Narayana, Krishna Sridhar, and Aprameya Radhakrishna.
Founded in 2025 by Shashank ND, founder of Practo and OneFlow Holdings, Anshul Khandelwal, former CMO of Ola Electric, and Arpit Garg, former product head at Lenskart, Cent is building an integrated preventive healthcare platform that combines medical imaging, artificial intelligence (AI), diagnostics, and bioinformatics to identify potential health risks before symptoms emerge.
The company will use the funds to accelerate research and development and expand its AI, engineering and clinical teams. It aims to complete 10 million scans by 2035, building on the 10,000 preventive whole-body scans it has conducted across Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi since inception.
“When we were introduced to Shashank and the team that came together to build Cent, we saw an obsessive ambition to solve for accurate diagnosis and protocols for cancers amongst other indications,” said Karthik Reddy, co-founder and managing partner of Blume Ventures.
Cent has also acquired Medsee, an AI-powered radiology reporting platform founded by Chitra Singh. The technology helps draft structured reports and highlight findings for review by qualified radiologists, with the aim of improving reporting speed and consistency as scan volumes increase.
Its flagship offering, Cent Check, combines full-body MRI, low-dose CT, DEXA scans, ECG, echocardiography and more than 100 biomarkers in a visit lasting around two hours. Under its proprietary CCNM protocol, results are consolidated for specialist review, with members receiving a doctor-led health plan and follow-up support throughout the year.
According to the company, one in four members who felt healthy before their scans had findings requiring action, while one in 40 required immediate medical attention. These findings included early-stage tumours, significantly narrowed arteries and aneurysms.
Cent plans to use data generated through its scans to develop health benchmarks for asymptomatic Indians, improve AI models for identifying disease risks and support clinical research.
“India’s healthcare system is still built to treat illness, not to find it early. We believe the next shift is preventive care that is precise and accessible at scale,” said Anshul Khandelwal, co-founder of Cent.
The company aims to build preventive healthcare infrastructure that can serve both India and international markets, with a focus on early detection, personalised health monitoring and AI-led diagnostics.
