Spill Games got 10.5 million dollars in funding. It is a company in Bengaluru that makes mobile games using AI. Elevation Capital led the round and some other investors joined in too.
The studio was started in 2024 by three guys who came from PlaySimple Games. They make casual puzzle games and hybrid ones for players around the world. These games are free to play and make money from ads and purchases inside the app. I think they have been testing things a lot lately.
“We build what excites us, put it in front of players quickly and let their response guide us. When players love something as much as we do, that is when we scale it,” said Om Misra, Co-founder and CEO, Spill Games.
The company went from having three games to six in just a few months. It seems like they focus on keeping players coming back and making money from them. They have this thing called Compass that helps with all the data and running the games.
Maybe they can make new games faster than most studios because of how they work. They try out different ideas first and then put more effort into the ones that do well. The money will help them grow the games that are working and also build more AI stuff.
They might hire some people and get more users for their games. It feels like the mobile game market is getting bigger overall.
“We believe the next decade will see the rise of AI-native gaming studios that pair AI with strong product instinct, data and rapid experimentation. With a small, fast-moving team, they have the potential to build a portfolio of global games from India,” said Manish Advani, Principal, Elevation Capital.
