EDT, a design and technology brand for consumer appliances, has raised $2.4 million in an oversubscribed Pre-Series A round led by existing investor Sauce, with participation from new investors including Alteria Capital, Raul Rai of Nicobar, Shibam Das and Arindam Paul of Atomberg, Ajith Pai of Delhivery, and Anushree Tainwala of Samsonite.
Founded in 2025 by Naiyya Saggi and industrial designer Vyasateja Rao, EDT has grown its kitchen appliance lineup, including its LUMA air fryer oven and FLOW kettle, into what it says is one of India’s fastest-growing premium device brands within seven months of launch, with its Amazon business scaling nearly 7x between March and July 2026.
“We started EDT with a simple conviction: everyday consumer appliances must be reimagined for the realities of a modern premium consumer. This fundraise helps take that philosophy into new categories,” said Naiyya Saggi, Co-founder and CEO, EDT.
The company is now expanding into beauty-tech with SUKI, a hair dryer built on a patent-pending CareDry algorithm that combines heat, airflow and plasma ion technology, engineered to calibrate temperature and reduce heat damage during drying. SUKI will launch at a pre-order price of ₹8,499, available D2C first before expanding to marketplaces and retail this winter.
The fresh capital will fund festive-season inventory, new product launches, and expansion of EDT’s supply chain, brand and product teams, as the company builds toward a broader design and technology platform spanning home, kitchen and personal care.
