Accel, Blume Ventures, and Sequoia Capital led overall. 100X.VC, Venture Catalysts, and Antler dominated seed-stage, while Accel, Alteria Capital, and Peak XV led early-stage. Think Investments, M&G, and Mars Growth Capital topped late-stage deals.

The fund will focus on 16-18 startups, with initial investments ranging between USD 2.5 million and USD 3 million, while also reserving capital for additional funding rounds in its high-growth portfolio companies.

Mathur, who played a key role in shaping the firm's portfolio, is now transitioning into an advisory and mentorship role, working with early-stage startups across D2C, agritech, climate, and defence tech sectors.

Online courses and professional upskilling programs however seem to keep the sector still in the game, taking advantage of the shortcomings of the offline teaching methods.

Previously, the Mumbai-based company had secured USD 1 million in a seed round led by Blume Ventures in 2022.

The money raised will be put toward expanding teams across functional areas, advancing hardware and software R&D, and "launching India's next-generation consumer electronics brand in the coming months."

According to the survey, the total funding raised by mom and baby care companies across the globe in 2022 was $418 million, a plunge of 80% from $2.1 billion in 2021
