Semiconductor startup C2i Semiconductors has raised USD 15 million in a funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Yali Deeptech and TDK Ventures.

The Bengaluru-based company had earlier secured USD 4 million from Yali Capital in November 2024.

The fresh capital will support global expansion efforts, including the establishment of a US office to work more closely with customers and decision-makers. The company also plans to build an applications and systems engineering team in Taiwan.

Founded in June 2024 by Ram Anant, Vikram Gakhar, Preetam Tadeparthy, Dattatreya Suryanarayana, Harsha S B, and Muthusubramanian N V, C2i Semiconductors develops power management solutions for AI data centres and cloud infrastructure. Its approach focuses on system-level innovations aimed at improving how power flows from the grid to processor cores.

C2i aims to move rapidly from design to silicon. Its first product is scheduled for tapeout in April, followed by a second in July. One chip will be manufactured at Tower Semiconductor in Israel, while the other will be fabricated at GlobalFoundries in either Singapore or Dallas.

The company claims its architecture can recover 8–10% efficiency, improve GPU performance by about 3%, and extend server lifetimes.

It is currently in discussions with several enterprise server customers for next-generation platforms.
