CARS24 has acquired Vehicle Info as part of its plan to build India’s first full-stack vehicle ownership platform. The move aims to expand services beyond buying and selling vehicles and address the everyday needs of vehicle owners.
Vehicle ownership in India often requires users to manage several digital services separately, such as checking insurance validity, paying traffic challans, monitoring FASTag balances and ensuring vehicle documents remain compliant. Vehicle Info was created to simplify these tasks through a single platform.
Founded in 2017 by Chirag Pipaliya in Surat, Vehicle Info provides tools that allow users to access vehicle details, pay challans, renew insurance and recharge FASTag. The app also offers features such as resale value estimates and preparation tools for RTO exams.
Following the acquisition, Vehicle Info will continue to operate as a standalone application with its existing team. At the same time, its capabilities will be integrated into Cars24’s broader platform aimed at covering the full lifecycle of vehicle ownership.
The integration reflects a wider effort to develop technology-driven solutions in India that address practical mobility needs at scale.
Gurugram-based CARS24 was founded in 2015 by Vikram Chopra, Mehul Agrawal, Ruchit Agarwal and Gajendra Jangid.
