Zumutor Biologics, Lumikai-backed AutoVRse Raise Fresh Funds

Zumutor Biologics, a Bengaluru-based biotech startup, on Monday said it has raised USD 7.3 million in a new funding round. The fresh capital comes from Accel and Bharat Innovation Fund along with participation from new investors such as Premji Invest, Ashish Kacholia, and Raj Dand. 

Founded in 2013 by Kavitha Iyer Rodrigues, the company operates globally with its R&D facility based in Bengaluru, India. It also has corporate headquarters located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. The company focuses on immuno-oncology therapies that harness the body’s innate immune system to tackle diseases like cancer. 

Zumutor said it will deploy funds to complete work on an ongoing clinical trial of its drug candidate ZM008. It will also work to support Phase 1B expansion cohorts, and initiate global Phase 2 studies. 

AutoVRse Raises USD 2.4 Million 

AutoVRse, Bengaluru-based startup that provides AI-powered training and real-time field guidance for industrial operations, has raised USD 2.4 million in a funding round co-led by Singularity AMC’s Large Value Fund III and Early Opportunities Fund. Existing investor Lumikai also joined the round. 

Founded in 2016 by Ashwin Jaishanker and Adarsh Muthappa, AutoVRse had raised USD 2 million in a seed funding round led by Lumikai in February 2024.

The startup plans to use the fresh capital for accelerating product development, improve customer infrastructure, and expand its presence in North America.
