SUIND Raises INR 20.5 Cr in Seed Round Led by Transition VC

SUIND, a developer of autonomous unmanned aerial systems (UAS), has raised INR 20.5 crore in a seed funding round led by Transition VC, with participation from IIMA Ventures. 

The company will use the fresh capital to expand the commercial deployment of Bumblebee, its DGCA type-certified autonomous spraying drone, accelerate the development of Wasp, its aerial intelligence and inspection platform, and strengthen its autonomy technology, engineering capabilities and commercial partnerships. 

The company’s first commercial product, Bumblebee, is designed for agricultural applications and has been deployed across plantations, orchards and crops including sugarcane, rubber and banana. 

According to SUIND, the drone helps improve spraying consistency while reducing water consumption, chemical usage, operating costs and human exposure to agrochemicals. The company said deployments across challenging agricultural conditions has helped strengthen its autonomy platform through real-world operational data. 

SUIND is also developing Wasp, a flight-tested UAS for infrastructure inspection, industrial monitoring, security, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance applications.
