ISLAND Beauty, a skincare brand built on the philosophy of Korean Science × Indian Reality, has raisedINR 2.58 crore (USD 272,000) from AJ VC and angel investors, including Vahdam founder Bala Sarda.

The funds will go toward product development, brand awareness and reaching more customers. Over the next three years, it plans to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its market presence.
The brand sources Korean ingredients from Korea and develops formulations in India for Indian skin and weather. Its proprietary Core Barrier Matrix combines CBM-A Repair and CBM-B Defence, targeting both skin-barrier repair and everyday protection.
Its range includes a cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser and lip care. The Dew Drop Barrier Repair Glow Serum contains 50% Korean rice water and 5% niacinamide.
Shirley Setia, Co-founder, ISLAND Beauty, said: “I’ve seen how overwhelming skincare can get, even for me. There’s always a new product, a new trend or a new routine promising better skin. And before you know it, you’re switching products again, hoping something will finally work. With ISLAND Beauty, we wanted to break that cycle and help people focus on what their skin actually needs, not what’s trending.”
