Promom, a maternal and baby care brand, has raised INR 30 crore in funding from Fireside Ventures. The company plans to deploy the capital towards expanding its product portfolio.
Founded in 2023 by Anavi Kalia, Manas Tripathi, and Aditya Srivastava, Promom offers products for new mothers.
“The idea for Promom emerged from Anavi Kalia’s personal experience as a new mother, navigating the physical and emotional demands of feeding with very few high-quality solutions available. What began as a deeply personal insight evolved into a mission to create better products for mothers during one of the most transformative phases of their lives,” the company said in a press release.
Promom adds that its products are built through close collaboration with mothers, doctors, and lactation consultants.
“Promom was born from a deeply personal need we experienced during our parenting journey. As new parents, we struggled to find products that were trustworthy, thoughtfully designed, and truly suited to the realities of raising a young child in India. That experience made us realize there was a much larger gap in maternal and infant care. We started by addressing feeding challenges because they were among the most immediate and critical needs we faced ourselves, but our vision has always extended far beyond that. Our goal is to build Promom into India’s most trusted maternal and parenting care brand, supporting families from pregnancy and postpartum through a child’s early years with thoughtfully designed products and expert-backed solutions. With Fireside Ventures joining us on this journey, we are excited to accelerate product innovation, expand our reach, and make Promom a trusted household name for millions of Indian families,” CEO and cofounder Tripathi said.
“We believe early motherhood is emerging as one of the most compelling opportunities in consumer healthcare. Promom combines a deep understanding of mothers’ needs with a relentless focus on trust, empathy and thoughtful product innovation. We are excited to partner with the team on this journey,” Ankur Khaitan, Principal, Fireside Ventures adds.
