Innovaccer has initiated a fresh round of layoffs as part of its transition toward becoming an “AI-native” organisation, according to an internal email from founder and CEO Abhinav Shashank that surfaced on social media platforms, including Reddit.

In the email, Shashank explained that the decision was tied to a broader organisational shift driven by artificial intelligence adoption. He noted that “AI systems have automated workflows that previously required large teams,” indicating a fundamental change in how the company operates.

The company later confirmed the development, stating that 340 employees globally have been affected. In an official statement, Innovaccer said, “As part of a global organisational change, Innovaccer is aligning its team to current business priorities.” It added that it aims to build “an organisation that is lean, fast and focused,” with emphasis on speed and measurable outcomes for customers.

This marks the second major layoff round at the company in recent years. In January 2023, Innovaccer had laid off around 15% of its workforce, impacting nearly 245 employees.

The latest move comes just months after the company completed a USD 75 million ESOP buyback in January 2026, offering liquidity to current and former employees with vested stock options.

Prior to that, Innovaccer raised USD 275 million in a Series F funding round in January 2025, with participation from investors such as B Capital, Kaiser Permanente, and Generation Investment Management. The company has raised about USD 675 million to date and is valued at over USD 3.4 billion.

Founded in 2014, Innovaccer provides a healthcare data and analytics platform used by hospitals, insurers, and health systems, particularly in the United States.

The development reflects a broader industry trend, as companies like Livspace have also undertaken layoffs while shifting toward AI-led operations.
