Infosys has announced a strategic collaboration with OpenAI aimed at accelerating enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence and driving large-scale digital transformation.

The partnership will combine OpenAI’s advanced AI models, including Codex, with Infosys Topaz Fabric, the company’s agentic AI services suite, to help businesses move from experimentation to practical deployment.

The collaboration will initially focus on key areas such as software engineering, legacy system modernization, DevOps automation, and e-commerce. By integrating AI-driven tools, workflow automation, and prebuilt agents with Infosys’ enterprise capabilities, the initiative seeks to improve engineering productivity, streamline development processes, and reduce time-to-market.

Infosys said its global delivery network and experience in enterprise transformation position it to deploy these technologies effectively in real-world business environments. The partnership is also expected to support responsible AI adoption through governance frameworks and scalable delivery models.

Denise Dresser, Chief Revenue Officer at OpenAI, said, “Codex is becoming a powerful workspace for managing agents across software development and business workflows. As enterprises move quickly to put Codex to work, we’re working with leading partners like Infosys to help more organizations move from early usage to repeatable deployment.”

She added that Infosys’ expertise will enable broader applications, including “legacy code modernization, code review automation, vulnerability detection, and application development,” extending AI’s impact across enterprise systems.

Infosys CEO Salil Parekh emphasized the broader implications of the collaboration, saying, “Generative and Agentic AI will redefine how enterprises operate and grow. Our collaboration with OpenAI establishes an operating model to unlock AI value at scale.”

He added that the partnership aims to help clients “move decisively from pilots to performance,” enabling them to build competitive advantage through structured and responsible AI adoption.
