Onto Raises USD 1 Mn Pre-Seed Funding
Bengaluru-based travel platform Onto has raised USD 1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Stargazer Fund and co-led by Singapore-based White Venture Capital.
Founded by former Groww professionals Jagdeep Singh and Shubham Goyal, Onto has launched with a hotel booking feature called Price Drop Refund. Refunds are credited to the original payment method, while users receive updates through WhatsApp and app notifications.
Shubham Goyal, co-founder of Onto, said, “A customer-first platform has technology at its core. The systems should take the complexity away from the user. Refunding the difference when a price drop sounds simple. Doing it for every booking, including ones made elsewhere, means building a system that can recognise any hotel booking, understand it, watch it, and act on your behalf without you lifting a finger. We built that foundation first because the rest of Onto sits on it.”
The company said its app recorded more than 2,000 downloads before its official launch. The company will use the fresh capital to scale operations, strengthen its technology infrastructure and develop new products as it works towards an AI-led travel platform.
“The travel industry is built around transactions, so the moment you pay, everyone stops caring. We started Onto to be the platform that stays on your side after your book. Today, that means refunding you when your hotel’s price drops, wherever you booked it. Tomorrow, it means looking after your entire trip, bringing every booking into one place, and using AI to show you only what matters to you, and why,” said Jagdeep Singh, co-founder of Onto.
Onto has integrations with multiple hotel suppliers and offers bookings across domestic and international destinations.
Vectorial Raises USD 3 Mn Led by SenseAI Ventures
Vectorial, an AI company developing human behaviour simulation tools for software products and digital experiences, has raised USD 3 million in a funding round led by SenseAI Ventures. Founded by Taranveer Singh, Rahul Garg and Jasmine Kaur, Vectorial aims to help companies test product ideas and understand customer responses through AI-powered simulations rather than relying solely on traditional surveys and interviews.
“We believe AI is creating two distinct frontiers. One focuses on reasoning and solving complex problems, while the other focuses on simulations and decoding human behavior. Software teams have dramatically improved how quickly they can build products with AI, but understanding how people will respond remains slow, expensive and difficult to scale. We’re bridging that gap by combining generative simulations with our proprietary behavior models to help teams make better product decisions,” said Taranveer Singh, co-founder and CEO of Vectorial.
Rahul Garg, co-founder and chief product officer, said, “Having built products across these companies, I’ve seen firsthand how misleading broad customer personas can be in India. From end consumers to retailers, merchants, suppliers and frontline workers, each group operates with fundamentally different motivations and constraints. A product that resonates with one segment can completely miss the mark with another, even when they look identical on paper. That’s why we’re building Vectorial to model human behavior at a much deeper granularity, capturing not just who people are, but what drives their decisions.”
