Anicut Capital Leads INR 55 Cr Follow-On Round in Unico Housing Finance

Chennai-based Unico Housing Finance has raised INR 55 crore in a follow-on funding round led by Anicut Capital, with participation from existing investor UC Impower. The company will use the fresh capital to expand while maintaining its focus on asset quality and profitability.
Since Anicut Capital and UC Impower’s initial investment, Unico’s assets under management (AUM) have crossed INR 730 crore as of June 30, 2026. The company has expanded its branch network and strengthened its leadership, underwriting and risk management capabilities.
Dhruv Kapoor, Partner, Anicut Capital, said, “Affordable housing finance remains one of India’s significant unmet needs, particularly for self-employed individuals and first-time home buyers who often remain underserved by the formal financial system. We believe institutions that can responsibly bridge this gap will play an important role in advancing financial inclusion and contributing to India’s long-term economic development.”
He added that Unico has built its business around responsible lending and customer needs, and that Anicut is deepening its partnership with the company as it expands its reach.
