Venture Catalysts++ is set to showcase 12 startups at its upcoming Demo Day 7, with the companies collectively aiming to raise around USD 46 million (around INR 380 crore).

The Mumbai-based venture capital firm said nearly USD 20 million has already been committed ahead of the event, reflecting early investor interest.

The virtual event, scheduled for May 29, will feature startups across sectors including deeptech, artificial intelligence, aerospace, climate tech, sustainability, defence, logistics and consumer brands.

The firm noted that this edition will place a stronger emphasis on strategic and infrastructure-led sectors such as biodegradable plastics, healthtech, supply chain solutions and industrial technology.

“We believe the next generation of venture-scale companies will emerge from sectors solving hard, strategic problems across Climate, Defence, Energy, Deep tech infrastructure and Industrial technology,” said Dr Apoorva Ranjan Sharma, Founder and Managing Director of Venture Catalysts++. “Demo Day 7 reflects that thesis by bringing together founders building long-term, defensible businesses rather than chasing short-term market cycles.”

According to the firm, previous editions of Demo Day have attracted more than 700 venture firms and family offices from 18 countries, with consistent investor interest across participating startups.

Over time, the platform has supported more than 130 startups, which have collectively raised over USD 400 million from a network of more than 1,500 investors.

Venture Catalysts++ added that this year’s cohort has undergone a stricter selection process, including multiple screening rounds, institutional diligence, investor matchmaking and founder coaching.
