DheyaTech, a Bengaluru-based deep-tech company developing small gas turbine engines, has raised ₹43 crore in funding led by Avaana Capital, with participation from Unimech Aerospace and Manufacturing Limited.

Founded by aerospace engineers with over 15 years of experience at GE Aviation and Rolls-Royce, DheyaTech builds small gas turbine engines spanning 20 kgf to 400 kgf of thrust for advanced aerial mobility and energy applications, with fuel-flexible and hydrogen capabilities aimed at sustainable propulsion and power systems. India has historically depended on imports for this technology, with fewer than a dozen nations possessing indigenous small gas turbine design and manufacturing capability.

The company’s engines are entering commercial deployment, with flight trials targeted for Q4 2026 and confirmed orders from Indian and global OEMs already in place. The new funding will go toward scaling production, establish a fully integrated testing facility, and work with customers to accelerate deployment. DheyaTech’s in-house team manages the full product development pipeline, from design through build and testing, and has developed a proprietary adaptive Engine Control Unit.

DheyaTech is also the first private company in India pursuing independent airworthiness certification for gas turbine engines under CEMILAC-DRDO. Separately, the company is expanding into hydrogen propulsion and power-generation technology, including a hydrogen blower with ATEX safety certification and, in collaboration with IISc Bengaluru, a hydrogen-based flexi-fuel combustor for a 60-kW turbogenerator.

“We have spent the last decade building deep expertise in gas turbine technology with the vision of creating world-class propulsion and energy solutions from India. This funding marks an important step in our journey from technology development to production readiness,” said Gurushankara K C, CEO and Co-Founder, DheyaTech.
