Venture capital firm Chiratae Ventures has announced its Sonic DeepTech cohort following a Demo Day held in Bengaluru, marking the culmination of its latest startup acceleration programme. The initiative attracted thousands of applications, reflecting growing interest in deep technology innovation across India.
After a competitive selection process, Chiratae chose a focused group of startups and committed up to USD 10 million in investments across CtrlB, Interact AI, SuprSend, TakeMe2Space, and one stealth startup. The selected companies represent a mix of emerging technologies spanning artificial intelligence, space tech and enterprise infrastructure.
As part of the programme, the startups will gain access to resources through the NVIDIA Inception Program, which supports early-stage companies in accelerating technical development and business growth. The programme offers AI tools, training, preferred pricing on hardware and software, and access to a global network of investors and partners.
Each startup in the cohort is working on specialised solutions. TakeMe2Space is building nanosatellite infrastructure for edge AI computing and Earth observation. CtrlB is developing a serverless data lake platform aimed at reducing storage and analytics costs through a cloud-native approach.
Interact AI focuses on creating AI-powered avatars that offer more interactive and product-aware customer engagement compared to traditional chatbots. SuprSend has built a multi-channel notification system that enables businesses to manage communications through a single API. The final investment has been made in a stealth vertical AI platform.
The Sonic DeepTech programme offers up to USD 2 million in seed funding and supports sectors such as energy, climate, quantum technologies, robotics, space tech, applied AI, and healthcare innovation.
Chiratae Ventures has previously backed several well-known companies including AgroStar, Cult.fit, Fibe, FirstCry, Flipkart, Lenskart, Myntra, Pixis, PolicyBazaar and Vayana.
