The Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) has appointed Vibhor Jain as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 7, 2026.
Jain, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer, had been acting CEO during a recent leadership transition. His appointment marks a shift to a full-time leadership structure as ONDC continues to expand its interoperable digital commerce network.
ONDC, a government-backed initiative, enables buyers and sellers to transact seamlessly across multiple platforms. Jain’s elevation comes at a time when the organisation is focusing on strengthening execution and broadening its ecosystem across sectors.
The leadership change follows earlier exits, including former MD and CEO Thampy Koshya, who stepped down in April last year after a three-year tenure. Independent director Arvind Gupta also resigned from his position two months later. The organisation aims to enhance network adoption and operational efficiency.
