Stellantis has announced fresh investment of about INR 4,000 crore (about EUR 400 million) in India over three years, taking its cumulative investment from over INR 11,000 crore to about INR 15,000 crore by 2030. Under its FaSTLAne 2030 plan, Jeep and Citroën will introduce 12 products: seven all-new and five major upgrades, comprising five Jeep and seven Citroën launches. The first product arrives by Q2 2027.
The launches will span B, C and D SUV segments, an MPV, an A-segment car and a premium pickup. The portfolio will follow a multi-energy approach across efficient ICE, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery-electric powertrains, chosen based on customer needs, affordability, regulation and infrastructure. Jeep will focus on the premium SUV space, while Citroën targets mainstream and higher-volume segments.
India is also a growing export base. Stellantis exports to about 50 countries from India, and around 95% of engines and gearboxes made at Hosur are exported.
“India is a long-term commitment for us, not just a volume chase,” said Tianshu Xin, COO, Stellantis Asia-Pacific Region.
“Our commitment to India will be measured by what we put on the road,” said Shailesh Hazela, CEO and Managing Director, Stellantis India.
