Ankit Jain, former Managing Director of Dyson India, has launched Foundry, a consumer technology company developing premium home appliances built on proprietary, patent-pending technology. The company has raised INR 12 crore in pre-seed equity funding led by BEENEXT and Kettleborough VC, with participation from Rishubh Satiya of Plix, Anindita Sampath of Yogabar and Anita Pramoda of Owned Outcomes.
Foundry’s first product range will focus on kitchen appliances, with plans to expand into other areas of the home. The funding will support technology development and product engineering ahead of the launch in the second half of 2027. The company combines proprietary technology with original industrial design, engineering and material selection.
Jain has over two decades of global consumer business experience. In nine years at Dyson, he held leadership roles across India, Hong Kong, the Middle East and Africa, and helped build and scale its premium business in India. Earlier, he held leadership positions at Star TV, Walmart and Nestlé.
“The next leap in appliances won’t come simply from making individual machines better. It will come from rethinking how they are engineered, how they work together and how intelligence can make them more useful over time. We’re investing in the technology from the ground up, with the ambition of creating a fundamentally different experience with everyday appliances,” said Ankit Jain, Founder and CEO, Foundry.
“It’s rare to see a consumer brand in India take a technology IP-first approach and design truly innovative products from the ground up. The time for premium home appliances in India has arrived,” said Anirudh Garg, Partner, BEENEXT.
